Attorneys William R. Foley William R. Foley William R. Foley is one of the firm’s shareholders. Mr. Foley has been with the firm since 1969. Mr. Foley concentrates his practice on business law, commercial real property law, estate planning, as well as trust and probate estate administration. Business Law: Mr. Foley regularly advises business clients in all aspects of business and corporate law, including entity selection and formation, acquisitions, sales, and contractual negotiation, drafting and review. Commercial Real Property: Mr. Foley regularly advises clients in their capacities as landlords, tenants, purchasers, or sellers of commercial real property, in connection with the contractual negotiation and drafting of purchase agreements, leases, and land use or restriction documentation. Examination of title reports and underlying title exception documents is a recurring part of Mr. Foley’s practice in this area. Estate Planning and Administration: Mr. Foley regularly advises clients in the creation of estate plans, including preparation of revocable living trusts, pour-over wills, durable powers of attorney, advance health care directives, community property declarations, and other documentation necessary to complete an effective estate plan, with objectives of passing wealth on to the next generation in a manner that minimizes the payment of unnecessary administration costs and death taxes. General and Educational Background: Mr. Foley received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco, where he was a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society, as well as the Assistant Editor and Managing Editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review. Mr. Foley received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, College of Finance. Mr. Foley is admitted to practice in California. Mr. Foley’s non-professional interests include fly fishing, horseback riding, cattle ranching, and golf. - BACK
